This policy explains what information Belvidere AC & Heating ("we", "us") collects through this website, belviderehvac.com, why we collect it, who handles it for us, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
Information you type into our forms
The service request form and the shorter request form on the home page ask for your name and phone number, and optionally your email address, your town or street address, the service you need, the type of system, how urgent it is, the type of property, a preferred date and time, and a description of the problem. We receive only what you choose to enter.
Technical information sent with a form
When you send a form, our website also records the page you sent it from, your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, the approximate country and city that our hosting provider derives from the IP address, and a request reference number. We use these to keep out spam and abuse and to trace a request that did not arrive. The forms also contain a hidden anti-spam field and a timestamp; neither one identifies you.
What we do not collect
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, tracking pixels, third-party scripts or social media plugins, and it does not build a profile of your visits. The site itself sets no cookies. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from automated attacks; it is not used for advertising or tracking.
How we use it
- To call or email you back about your request, ask questions and schedule a visit.
- To prepare estimates, perform the work you ask for and keep a record of it.
- To keep the website and its forms secure and working.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not add you to mailing lists, and we do not use your information for advertising.
Who processes it for us
- Website hosting: Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website and runs the form handler on its network, so form submissions pass through its systems.
- Lead management: form submissions are delivered to the customer-request system we use to receive, track and answer service requests. If a submission cannot be delivered right away, it is held in a secure queue and retried for up to 60 days, then deleted.
- Email: if you email us, or we email you, our email provider processes those messages.
These providers handle the information on our behalf to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of a person or our property.
How long we keep it
We keep request and job information for as long as we need it to respond, schedule and complete the work, to keep a service history for your equipment, and to meet our legal and tax obligations. Technical information sent with a form is kept only as long as it is useful for security and troubleshooting. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, as described below.
Your choices and requests
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call (978) 898-0618 or email office@belviderehvac.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we may keep records we are legally required to keep, such as invoices.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use it for targeted advertising and we do not give it to data brokers. You do not need to take any action to opt out, but if you have questions about this, contact us by phone or email and we will answer them.
Security
The website is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to request information is limited to the people who need it to answer your request and do the work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send payment card numbers or passwords through the form.
Children
This website is meant for adults arranging heating and cooling service. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
