Accessibility Statement

Belvidere AC & Heating wants everyone to be able to use this website to learn about heating and cooling service and to reach us, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, screen magnification or voice control. Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
What we have done
- Pages use real headings, lists, tables and landmarks, so assistive technology can move through them in a logical order.
- A "Skip to main content" link is the first thing a keyboard user reaches on every page.
- The menu, forms, question-and-answer sections and interactive guides work with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- The phone menu announces whether it is open or closed, and the Escape key closes it.
- Text and buttons meet a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against their backgrounds.
- Pages reflow from small phones to wide screens without sideways scrolling, and text can be enlarged to 200 percent.
- Every photo has a text description; decorative icons are hidden from screen readers.
- Form fields have visible labels; errors are described in text next to the field and announced, not shown by color alone.
- Tables have header cells, and wide tables scroll inside their own labeled region.
- Links and buttons in menus and lists have touch targets at least 24 pixels high.
- Nothing plays, moves or flashes on its own, and the forms have no time limit.
How the site is tested
Before each update is published, every page is checked automatically: an HTML validator with accessibility rules, Lighthouse accessibility audits at phone and desktop sizes, and a browser test that measures layouts, opens and closes the phone menu, submits each form with missing and complete information and runs each interactive guide. Every page is also reviewed visually at phone and desktop sizes. Automated tools cannot catch everything, so we also welcome reports from the people who use the site.
Known limitations
The interactive sizing guides show their results as text in a live region. If you prefer not to use them, the same rule-of-thumb figures appear in tables on the same pages, and we are happy to talk through the numbers by phone.

We will reply, fix what we can, and give you the information you need another way in the meantime, for example by reading it to you over the phone or sending it by email.
